Ik ben Jolien, vrouw van Jeroen en mama van Vik (6) en Dré (2).
In de zomer van 2025 werd er bij mezelf een kwaadaardige hersentumor vastgesteld.
Tijdens de bestralingen leerde ik Charlie en zijn prachtige gezin kennen. De eerste keer dat ik hen zag passeren in de gang kon ik mijn tranen niet tegenhouden.
Geen enkel kind zou zo moeten 'vechten'.
Sindsdien strijd ik voor mijn gezin en mezelf, maar vooral ook voor en met Charlie in mijn hart.

Find new treatments, improve existing ones, and kick children’s cancer to send it far, far away forever and may it never come back! We therefore financially support scientific research, and bring together the drive, inspiration and knowledge of everyone involved. From researchers, doctors and parents to politicians and pharmaceutical companies. Only a joint effort can ensure that children with cancer are cured and better cured.

FIGHT KIDS CANCER is a joint initiative by KickCancer, Imagine for Margo (France), the Fondatioun Kriibskrank Kanner (Luxembourg), the CRIS Cancer Foundation (Spain) and KiKa (the Netherlands). Our aim is to accelerate the most innovative treatments thanks to European financing and collaboration of research in paediatric cancers.
