Give kids a running start

I don't need to tell you how miserable cancer is - I'm not sure I know anyone who hasn't been affected by this hideous disease. My family has been scourged by it - I remember walking in on my father and his sisters once comparing which types of it they had all had, like they were completing some morbid checklist.

But one thing I can be thankful for is that it has not yet reached my daughter. Not every parent is lucky enough to be able to say that.
