Waarom wij meedoen aan Kick to Run?

Dit jaar wandelen wij mee met Kick to Run voor Charlie.

Vorig jaar stond Charlie's wereld stil toen hij de diagnose hersentumor kreeg. Wat volgde was een intens en zwaar traject van operaties, chemotherapie, bestralingen en talloze ziekenhuisbezoeken. Een periode vol onzekerheid, verdriet, maar ook ongelooflijke veerkracht.

Charlie heeft laten zien hoe sterk een klein jongetje kan zijn. Daarom wandelen wij mee: voor hem, voor alle kinderen die met deze ziekte te maken krijgen en voor hun families. We hopen hiermee niet alleen steun te tonen, maar ook aandacht te vragen voor meer onderzoek en betere behandelingen.

Elke stap die we zetten, zetten we voor Charlie. ❤️

We have a mission. A beautiful mission. We want to cure every child with cancer.

Find new treatments, improve existing ones, and kick children’s cancer to send it far, far away forever and may it never come back! We therefore financially support scientific research, and bring together the drive, inspiration and knowledge of everyone involved. From researchers, doctors and parents to politicians and pharmaceutical companies. Only a joint effort can ensure that children with cancer are cured and better cured.

FIGHT KIDS CANCER is a joint initiative by KickCancer, Imagine for Margo (France), the Fondatioun Kriibskrank Kanner (Luxembourg), the CRIS Cancer Foundation (Spain) and KiKa (the Netherlands). Our aim is to accelerate the most innovative treatments thanks to European financing and collaboration of research in paediatric cancers.
