Team Wonderwoman – lopen met een glimlach voor Prisca :-)

Op 27 september lopen wij als Team Wonderwoman. We doen dat voor Prisca — onze vriendin die in april overleed aan kanker en op deze dag 50 jaar zou zijn geworden.

Prisca was iemand die je dag beter maakte. Warm, scherp, grappig, en altijd aanwezig met een luisterend oor. Zelfs tijdens haar ziekte bleef ze diezelfde positieve, sterke vrouw. Dat is precies wat wij willen meenemen op deze dag: haar energie, haar humor, haar veerkracht.

We denken vaak aan haar, we missen haar.
Maar op 27 september kiezen we ervoor om haar te vieren.
Om haar kracht verder te dragen.
Om hoop in beweging te zetten voor iedereen die met kanker te maken krijgt.

Elke stap is een knipoog naar Prisca.
Elke bijdrage helpt onderzoek vooruit.
Samen maken we de weg lichter voor wie nu door een moeilijke tijd gaat.

We have a mission. A beautiful mission. We want to cure every child with cancer.

Find new treatments, improve existing ones, and kick children’s cancer to send it far, far away forever and may it never come back! We therefore financially support scientific research, and bring together the drive, inspiration and knowledge of everyone involved. From researchers, doctors and parents to politicians and pharmaceutical companies. Only a joint effort can ensure that children with cancer are cured and better cured.

FIGHT KIDS CANCER is a joint initiative by KickCancer, Imagine for Margo (France), the Fondatioun Kriibskrank Kanner (Luxembourg), the CRIS Cancer Foundation (Spain) and KiKa (the Netherlands). Our aim is to accelerate the most innovative treatments thanks to European financing and collaboration of research in paediatric cancers.
